Herbert Strong designed the original Ponte Vedra Inn & Club Ocean Course in 1928, reportedly using 100 mules dragging slip pans to shape the course's distinctive contours, dredge the lagoons, and build up the series of earth mounds that still dot the fairways. Robert Trent Jones Sr. softened some of Strong's most severe features in a 1947 redesign. Bobby Weed Golf Design handled the modern-era renovations in 1998 and 2020, returning strategic edge while modernizing drainage and greens-mix. Peak green fee runs $195-295 for resort guests.
