Augusta Municipal, 'The Patch', reopened April 15, 2026 after a 16-month, $25M renovation led by Tom Fazio and Beau Welling, with a brand-new 9-hole short course called 'The Loop at The Patch' designed by Tiger Woods's TGR Design team. The project was underwritten in large part by Augusta National and represents one of the more philanthropically significant muni rebuilds in American golf. The new Fazio/Welling routing pays homage to 11 holes from the previous layout, a deliberate choice to preserve the character of the course that generations of Black golfers played when Augusta National wouldn't let them on. The Loop is a walkable 9-hole short course in the spirit of The Cradle at Pinehurst or Bandon Preserve, pace-of-play-friendly, shorter irons, accessible. The full facility opened with resident green fees capped at $25 weekday and $35 weekend for 18 holes walking. One of the most important municipal restorations of 2026 and the only public Tiger Woods design in Georgia. A must-play on any Augusta trip, pair with a Master's practice round or Forest Hills for a week of Augusta public golf history.
Augusta Municipal Golf Course ('The Patch')'s peak-season green fee is around $85 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Augusta trip cost
