Native Oregonian Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy designed Brasada Canyons at Brasada Ranch in 2007, a Central Oregon resort course routed across 1,800 acres of high-desert ranchland between Powell Butte and Redmond. Elevations range from 3,272 feet up to just over 4,000 feet, with no two holes running parallel across the site. The resort is the only 'Preferred Golf Course' in the state of Oregon, and Brasada Ranch has been named Condé Nast Traveler's Best Resort in the Pacific Northwest two years running. Five sets of tees ranging from 4,722 to 7,295 yards, with 800 feet of total elevation change across the property. Greens are large, bentgrass, and firm, perched above the desert sage brush. The course is famous for its 270-degree views of the Cascade range, Mount Bachelor, Broken Top, Three Sisters, Mount Jefferson, from the higher tees and greens. Play is reserved for members and resort guests. Peak green fee for guests runs $125-175. Fits a Bend trip as the 'trade pine trees for big sky' round after Crosswater or Tetherow.
Brasada Canyons at Brasada Ranch's peak-season green fee is around $150 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Bend trip cost
