Tom Fazio designed Buffalo Ridge Springs at Big Cedar Lodge in 1999, then returned for a comprehensive 2014 redesign that reshaped green complexes, rebuilt bunkering, and upgraded conditioning. The course is named for the free-ranging North American bison visible from fairways, part of the nearby Dogwood Canyon Nature Park. Expect meadow holes, elevation changes, Ozark scenery, and the occasional wildlife detour. Golfweek ranked Buffalo Ridge the 2nd Best Course You Can Play in Missouri in 2020 (sister course Ozarks National is #1). Golf Digest places it at #92 on America's 100 Greatest Public Courses. Golfweek also ranked it #83 on Top 100 Courses You Can Play. On a Big Cedar golf trip you'd typically play Buffalo Ridge after Payne's Valley and Ozarks National, but at $100 off-season, it's the best-value serious course in the Ozarks.
Buffalo Ridge Springs's peak-season green fee is around $225 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Big Cedar Lodge trip cost
