Jack Nicklaus designed Top of the Rock in 1996 as a 9-hole par-3 course (expanded in 2014), the first Nicklaus par-3 course and a dramatic piece of Ozark terrain. Holes drop hundreds of feet off cliffs, cross streams, and frame panoramic views of Table Rock Lake. Walking is required; no carts. From 2014 to 2019 Top of the Rock hosted the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf (PGA Tour Champions), historically significant as the first PGA Tour-sanctioned event ever played on a par-3 course. Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Tom Watson, Hale Irwin, Lee Trevino, and John Daly all teed it up. Golf Advisor named Top of the Rock to its Best 10 Par-3 Golf Courses in the U.S. in 2015 and ranked it #6 on Top-10 Jack Nicklaus-designed courses you can play.
Top of the Rock's peak-season green fee is around $168 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Big Cedar Lodge trip cost
