ChampionsGate Golf Club - International Course

Greg Norman designed both ChampionsGate Golf Club courses in 2000, International and National, as the signature 36-hole facility for Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, 15 minutes south of Walt Disney World. The facility also houses the World Headquarters of the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. The International Course is Norman's personal letter to links golf in the British Isles: links-style mounding, firm-and-fast Paspalum turf, deep traditional pot bunkering, and absolutely no trees in the playing corridor on most holes. Golf Magazine awarded it honorable mention for Top 10 New Upscale Courses of 2001, and several Florida rankings place it as the highest-rated course in Florida. 7,363 yards par-72 with significant wind exposure that functions as the primary defense. Peak green fee runs $125-215 for resort guests. Fits an Orlando trip as the 'links-golf-in-Florida' round paired with National for a 36-hole ChampionsGate day.
