Cherry Valley Golf Course is a charming 9-hole par-3 gem in New Albany, Indiana, minutes from downtown Louisville across the Ohio River. Built in 1932, the course has carried several names through its nearly-90-year history: Valley View, the Fuzzy Zoeller Par-3 (named for the Hall of Fame Indiana golfer and major champion who had a commercial interest in the facility), and now Cherry Valley. The 1,600-yard executive-style par-3 layout routes through a tree-heavy property that rewards accurate iron play over power. It's operated by the City of New Albany as a public municipal course. Joe Byrd took over operation in February 2020 and re-sodded seven of the greens, substantially improving the putting surface speed and quality. Peak green fee runs $12-22 for 9 holes, extraordinary budget value for a par-3 routing in the Louisville metro area. Fits a Louisville / Southern Indiana trip as the quick-round warm-up or family-friendly add-on between the Valhalla (private) or Belvedere (public) rounds.
Cherry Valley Golf Club's peak-season green fee is around $14 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Louisville + Southern Indiana trip cost
