Cobblestone Golf Course

Cobblestone Golf Course in Acworth is one of North Atlanta's most-recognized public-access championship rounds, a Kenneth Dye Jr. design (of the Texas-based Finger Dye Spann firm) that originally opened on October 1, 1993 as 'The Boulders' and was renamed Cobblestone in 1996. The course sits on the picturesque banks of Lake Acworth in Cobb County, 30 minutes northwest of downtown Atlanta. The 18-hole layout extends 6,759 yards from the longest tees to a par of 71, with a course rating of 73.1 and a demanding slope rating of 140 on Bermuda grass, which places Cobblestone firmly in the legitimately-challenging-public-course category. Dye Jr.'s routing features Champion Bermuda greens, white-sand bunkers, and lakefront views of Lake Acworth on multiple holes. The course was fully renovated in 2010, and a 2021 clubhouse expansion and new practice-area buildout kept the facility operating at resort-tier standards. Cobblestone is owned by Cobb County and managed by Bobby Jones Links, a nationally-recognized public-course management firm, for the last 20 of the course's 30+ years. That management pedigree keeps conditioning, setup, and service at a higher bar than typical county-owned public facilities.
