Hampton Cove - River Course

Pairs the open Highlands core nine, relatively wide corridors with lakes in play on four holes including a peninsula green, with Magnolia, where specimen magnolia trees dot higher ground reached via a 1,000-foot wooden bridge across the marsh. Highland Oaks opened July 1993 as the fifth site on the RTJ Trail, the entire facility designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. The Highlands/Magnolia 18 was named to Golf Digest's Places to Play "Great Value" list. Of the three nine-hole combinations at Highland Oaks (the third being a 9-hole short course), Highlands/Magnolia is the most accessible, fewer forced carries, more open landing zones than the Marshwood pairing. 40 minutes from the southeast corner of Alabama; pairs naturally with Magnolia Grove (Mobile) for a southern-Alabama loop.
