Floyd Farley's 1972 Edmond muni, reborn in 2023 after a $22M renovation that rebuilt the course top to bottom (Matthew Dusenberry redesign) and added a 6,600-square-foot event center by Bockus Payne. A municipal course now playing with resort-level conditioning and bones. Dusenberry's 2023 redesign keeps the Farley corridors but re-greens the course with Tahoma 31 fairways and bent-grass greens, adds bold strategic bunkering, and re-flares the approach angles. The event center anchors a facility that doubles as a non-golf venue for weddings and business meetings, one of the more ambitious muni reinventions of the 2020s wave. Post-renovation credibility has arrived fast: two NCAA Division II Regionals (2024 and 2025) and two US Amateur local qualifiers already on the books. A must-play on the Oklahoma Golf Trail, pair with Chickasaw Pointe or Lincoln Park for a full-state Oklahoma weekend.
