Lincoln Park Golf Course's East layout is Oklahoma City's historic public-golf anchor, an 18-hole course opened in 1922 that has been shaped over the decades by some of the most significant figures in American golf architecture. Art Jackson is credited with the East Course design (1922), with native Oklahoman Perry Maxwell (of Prairie Dunes, Southern Hills, and Colonial fame) subsequently remodeling the greens around 1926. The Maxwell green work is the architectural headline, his distinctive bold green contours show up across the layout and give the East a Golden Age pedigree unusual for a municipal course. Today Lincoln Park operates as a 36-hole municipal complex with a West Course alongside, two 18s just minutes from downtown OKC. The East is the more forgiving, family-friendly layout relative to the West. The signature par-3 15th on the West plays over water, but on the East, the most memorable hole is the 2nd, a 210-yard par-3 where the downhill tee shot plays over a creek to a green featuring a large front bunker. For an Oklahoma trip visitor, Lincoln Park is both an architectural history lesson and a well-conditioned muni round.
Lincoln Park Golf Course's peak-season green fee is around $48 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Oklahoma Trail trip cost
