Rees Jones's 2005 North Course at Lake of Isles, owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and operated as the public-facing resort course adjacent to Foxwoods Casino. One of two Rees Jones layouts on the property (the South is members-only), and the better-known of the pair. The championship tees stretch past 7,300 yards over rolling Connecticut terrain with island greens, island tees, and lake views from every hole. Signature moments: the par-3 2nd to a downhill island green, the 457-yard 4th that falls from tee before rising to the green, the 469-yard 6th whose fairway sits more than 100 feet below the tee, and the par-3 7th's angled green demanding a left-to-right carved approach. Golfweek's Best Top 200 Resort Courses: T181 (2023), T182 (2022), T185 (2021), #138 (2019). 'Definitely in my top 2 or 3 public courses in Connecticut', a staple Foxwoods stay-and-play and worth the drive from Boston, NYC, or Providence.
