About

Timberton Golf Club is a semi-private 18-hole layout in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, part of the Magnolia Golf Trail. Designed by PGA Tour winner Mark McCumber and opened in July 1991, it was his second course design in Mississippi. The course plays to a par of 72 at 7,003 yards from the tips. Timberton holds a consistent 4.5-star rating from Golf Digest, making it the only public course in Mississippi to maintain that distinction over an extended period, and it has ranked among the state's top ten courses for more than 20 consecutive years. The club has served as host to multiple Mississippi State Open championships and SEC qualifying events. Green fees are priced in the budget-to-moderate range.
