Magnolia Grove - Crossings

Robert Trent Jones Sr.'s 1993 Crossings Course at Magnolia Grove takes its name from the routing: players cross active railway tracks twice during the round, a genuinely unusual feature for a modern championship course. Set on Alabama's Gulf Coast just north of Mobile, the course blends wooded parkland with the low-lying coastal features of the surrounding watershed. Creeks, marshlands, lakes, and crushed-oyster-shell waste areas thread through the routing. The greens, all rebuilt in recent years with MiniVerde Ultradwarf, are big, firm, and fast with substantial undulation that rewards precise approach shots. Elevation changes are meaningful for a course this close to the Gulf. Peak green fee runs around $65-95 depending on day and season, another RTJ Trail value. Pair with sister course Magnolia Grove Falls plus the Short Course for a three-card Mobile destination that costs less than a single Pebble round.
