About Mirimichi Golf Course

Mirimichi, formerly Big Creek, purchased by Justin Timberlake and his family in 2007 as the course was slated for closure (Timberlake's mother and stepfather were married there). A $16M renovation followed, with Bill Bergin completely redesigning the William Mitchell 1965 original and the property becoming the first golf course in the US to receive Audubon International's Classic Sanctuary Certification. DB fields for designer (Lipe/Wolfe) are stale, the verified architectural record is Mitchell 1965, Bergin redesign 2008-09. The course plays over 7,400 yards from the tips with meandering streams, deep-faced bunkers, and numerous lakes challenging the better player. Tall native grasses frame the routing and give Mirimichi a peaceful walk-in-nature feel that distinguishes it from most Memphis-area public options. Audubon's chief consultant described the ecological result as 'A-plus.' Golfweek Best Courses You Can Play 2013 and 2014. Timberlake sold to a Memphis businessman in 2014 but the course's sustainability credentials and design quality remain intact. The headline Memphis-area public round.
