Moccasin Bend Golf Club

Moccasin Bend Golf Club opened in 1966 as one of three municipal facilities operated by the city of Chattanooga, along with Brainerd and Brown Acres. The course takes its name and most of its character from Moccasin Bend itself, the dramatic hairpin oxbow turn where the Tennessee River wraps around a finger of Cherokee ceremonial land designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1986. The 18-hole par-72 routing sits directly on the Tennessee River's banks, with two holes touching the water and the rest threaded through mature oak-and-pine parkland terrain.
