Silverado Resort & Spa - South Course

Silverado Resort's South Course is the quieter half of the resort's 36-hole complex in Napa Valley, Robert Trent Jones Jr.'s original 1966 design, routed through valley oaks and vineyards with the western foothills rising as a constant backdrop. The North Course (hosting the PGA Tour's Procore Championship, formerly Fortinet and Safeway Open) gets the marquee attention; the South is the round most Silverado guests actually prefer for the golf itself. At 6,632 yards and par 72, the South plays as a second-shot course, position off the tee matters less than controlling distance into greens. The routing is visibly rolling by Napa-floor standards, which creates uneven lies on approaches and keeps the course from feeling like a wide-open resort layout. Oak canopies hem in landing areas on several holes, and creek crossings show up regularly enough to keep attention. Silverado's two-course package is the classic Napa golf-trip setup: play the more demanding North one day and the South the next. The South is the round where the group actually enjoys itself; the North is the round where someone in the group becomes too competitive.
