Silverado Resort & Spa - South Course

Silverado Resort's South Course is the quieter half of the resort's 36-hole complex in Napa Valley, Robert Trent Jones Jr.'s original design from the late 1960s, later touched up by Johnny Miller. While the North Course hosts the PGA Tour's Procore Championship (formerly Fortinet and Safeway Open), the South is the more user-friendly layout that most Silverado guests actually prefer for the golf itself. At par 72 and approximately 6,632 yards, the South plays as a second-shot course, position off the tee matters less than controlling distance into greens. The routing runs through valley oaks and vineyards with western foothill backdrops, and rolling terrain by Napa-floor standards creates uneven approach lies that keep attention even on easier holes. Oak canopies hem landing areas and creek crossings show up regularly enough to matter. The two-course package at Silverado is the classic Napa Valley golf itinerary, the more demanding North the one day, the easier South the next.
