Ponce de Leon

Ponce de Leon Golf Course is one of nine championship courses inside the gated community of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, and widely regarded as the flagship of that community's golf portfolio. Designed by Tom Clark of the Ault, Clark & Associates group, the par-72 6,912-yard layout opened in 1991 and has been routinely ranked among Arkansas' top 10 courses by both Golf Digest and the Arkansas Business Journal. Tree-lined fairways, consistently true greens, and the shaded forest setting of the Ouachita Mountains foothills give Ponce de Leon a character more in keeping with Pinehurst-area courses than the open-desert southern layouts common in this part of Arkansas. The course plays as a favorite of low-handicap golfers, demanding accuracy over power, but its multiple tee sets make it genuinely playable for casual players. On-site amenities include Mulligan's at Ponce, a full-service restaurant and bar overlooking the fairways.
