About Poppy Hills Golf Course
Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Poppy Hills in 1986 as the NCGA's home course on the Monterey Peninsula, the only course in the area owned by a golf association rather than a resort. Jones Jr. renovated it himself in 2014, stripping away trees and opening up ocean views that had been obscured for decades. It co-hosts the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill. Half the green fee of its neighbors with comparable quality.
