Seneca Golf Course in Louisville is the crown jewel of the city's municipal golf system, and one of the finest public courses in Kentucky. The hilly par-72 layout rolls through beautiful Seneca Park, with Beargrass Creek winding through mature hardwoods and zoysia fairways providing firmer playing conditions than most municipal courses deliver. Tees stretch from 3,792 to 7,017 yards, giving the course real championship teeth at the back markers while remaining genuinely accessible from the forward tees. Bent-grass greens and the elevation changes that come with playing through a true Louisville city park give Seneca a character closer to a regional private club than a municipal daily-fee. It's routinely cited as one of the toughest golf courses in Kentucky, ranked 6th toughest in the state, and has been voted "Best of Louisville" multiple years running. Of all the courses on the Louisville Metro golf trail, Seneca is the one that visiting golfers should prioritize.
Seneca Golf Course's peak-season green fee is around $35 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Louisville + Southern Indiana trip cost
