Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw opened Sheep Ranch in 2020, the fifth and final full 18 at Bandon Dunes Resort, built on property co-founder Phil Friedmann and Mike Keiser had been quietly stewarding for years. Sheep Ranch has one mile of ocean frontage and nine green sites on the edge of the continent, every single hole has Pacific views. Unusually, there are no sand bunkers anywhere on the course; only grassy depressions that have a natural, abandoned look. Golf Digest named Sheep Ranch Best New Course of 2020 at its opening. It's ranked on national Top 100 lists (#80 on Guru's Top 100 Public alongside Old Macdonald's #66) and has rapidly climbed toward the top half of that pool since opening. For many Bandon visitors, the pilgrimage is playing all five, Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes, Bandon Trails, Old Macdonald, and Sheep Ranch, over three days.
Sheep Ranch's peak-season green fee is around $420 per round; off-peak rates drop to about $175. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Bandon Dunes trip cost
