Bandon Dunes' newest short course, opened May 2024 from the design trio of Rod Whitman, Dave Axland, and Keith Cutten, the team behind Cabot Cliffs. 19 holes of 1,997 yards laid across natural dunes and shore pines between the opening holes of Bandon Trails and the ocean. Named for Shorty Dow, the first caretaker at Bandon Dunes and a close friend of resort founder Mike Keiser. Holes run 50-300 yards and rotate through dune-nestled greens with views of the Pacific. The routing deliberately leaves spare room for creative shot shapes, you can bump-and-run, play a wedge, or take a knockdown 7-iron through the wind on the same hole. $100 peak round (range $60-125 by season); all net proceeds fund the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation. A group's 'play something after dinner' card that usually ends up being everyone's favorite round of the trip.
Shorty's's peak-season green fee is around $125 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Bandon Dunes trip cost
