Skytop Lodge Golf Course

Skytop Lodge Golf Course in Skytop, Pennsylvania, is one of the oldest continuously-operating resort courses in the Poconos, a Robert White design that opened in 1927-1928 alongside the historic Skytop Lodge hotel. Robert White was the founder and first president of the PGA of America and one of the most influential figures in early American golf architecture, making the course a genuine piece of golf history. White made the course fair yet challenging, weaving pot bunkers and water hazards purposefully throughout the holes and incorporating natural Pocono landscape elements, water on two holes and panoramic Pocono views throughout the round. The course has aged exceptionally well; in 2025 GolfPass's Golfers' Choice Best Public Golf Course list ranked Skytop Lodge at #17 nationally, and it carries a 4/5 Golf Advisor rating.
