About

Hurdzan and Fry designed Sand Barrens in 1997 with 27 holes through the southern New Jersey pine barrens — three nines that feel more Sand Hills than Shore. The sandy soil produces firm, fast conditions unusual for the mid-Atlantic. The most architecturally interesting public course near Atlantic City, and a pleasant surprise for groups expecting generic resort golf.
