About Tour 18 Houston

Tour 18 Houston in Humble is the original 'America's Greatest 18 Holes' replica-course concept, a David D. Edsall design that opened in November 1992 as the first club of its kind where 18 simulation holes from famous courses were brought together as one. Edsall used aerial mapping and GPS to map the replica holes close to their originals, including topography and vegetation when possible. The replica lineup is world-class: dead-on copies of holes from Augusta National (including Amen Corner), Bay Hill, Pinehurst, Harbour Town, Inverness, Pebble Beach, Shinnecock Hills, and Doral among others. Tour 18's cultural-golf impact was immediate, it spurred other replica courses around the world, including a sister course in Dallas three years later. Some of the original venues weren't happy and took legal action, which brought Tour 18 nationwide publicity; the course survived the litigation and remains one of the most popular daily-fee courses in the Houston area. At 6,782 yards par 72, Tour 18 is a legitimate scoring test on top of its novelty-golf value proposition, playing replicas of the world's most famous holes back-to-back delivers a playing experience no other course in the world offers. For the Houston trip visitor, Tour 18 is the bucket-list novelty round, paired naturally with Memorial Park (Tom Doak), Wildcat (Roy Case 36 holes), and the TPC Houston's Tournament Course for a four-round Houston variety package.
