About Barefoot Resort - Fazio Course

Tom Fazio's 2000 Barefoot Resort Fazio Course, widely considered the best of Barefoot's four championship courses (Love, Dye, Fazio, Norman) for its variety, creativity, and conditioning. The Lowcountry track has piled up honors from Golf Digest, Golfweek, Golf.com, and the South Carolina Golf Course Ratings Panel since 2010. A par-71, 6,834-yard routing adorned with live oaks, pines, natural areas, and native grasses, classic Lowcountry charm. The course has no obvious signature hole because 'there's probably three or four or five of them' (Director of Golf's words). A rare run of three consecutive par-3s (6, 7, 8) stands out, unusual in championship design. The par-3 6th is 167 yards downhill over a waste-water hazard with a dramatically sloped green. The par-4 18th begins uphill to a narrow landing area before turning toward a green guarded by water along the entire left side. The Fazio is the consensus top pick at Barefoot Resort, the round to prioritize if you're playing just one of the four. Pair with the Love (Davis Love III) for two contrasting marquee rounds.
