About Barefoot Resort - Norman Course

Greg Norman's 2000 Barefoot Resort Norman Course, one of the most golfer-friendly of Barefoot's four championship layouts, with generous landing areas, open green complexes, and seven holes routed along the Intracoastal Waterway. Norman drew on his global playing career to embed Australian outback design elements, native grasses tied into expansive sandy waste areas give the routing a genuine 'down-under' feel. The par-5 9th is arguably the best hole on the course, a memorable approach over natural wetlands to a devilish green complex. The par-3 10th is the stated signature, 203 yards from the back (platinum) tees playing downhill to a large green. Norman's 'bump and run' philosophy shows up in the open green entrances that give players short-game options most modern Fazio/Nicklaus courses don't offer. Ranked #28 in the Top 50 Courses of Myrtle Beach by Golf Digest. A solid Barefoot Resort round, the most approachable of the four for mixed-skill groups. Pair with the Fazio Course for two distinctive Myrtle Beach rounds.
