About Blue Ridge Shadows

Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club in Front Royal, Virginia is the flagship public round on the Raspberry Trail, a 2007 Tom Clark design that plays 7,315 yards par 72 from the Black tees, with the Shenandoah National Park entrance just minutes away and Blue Ridge Parkway views framing multiple holes. The course opens atop a small knoll with panoramic views and features a legitimate championship test despite its public-access positioning. The signature moments come at both ends of the round. The 420-yard par-4 7th is the front-nine highlight, a fairway that pitches and rolls dramatically like giant ocean waves before reaching a raised, two-tier green. The par-4 15th is majestic and intimidating in equal measure. And the par-4 18th is the course's calling card: a risk-reward closer fronted by Crooked Run Creek and framed by a 60-foot waterfall directly behind the green, one of the most photogenic finishing holes in the Mid-Atlantic. Golf Digest named Blue Ridge Shadows #6 'Best New Affordable Public Courses' in 2007; the Washington Post called it a 'Natural Treasure.' For the Raspberry Trail visitor, this is the architectural standout round.
