Tom Fazio opened Camp Creek in 2001, on a stretch of Florida panhandle 20 miles north of Panama City, originally as a private members club before opening to WaterColor and WaterSound resort guests. Some commentators rate it among Fazio's most aesthetically pleasing and thought-provoking designs โ heavy bunkering and shaped landforms that feel transplanted from a coastal Carolinas course. Golf Digest has had Camp Creek inside the Florida top 20 since 2009, peaking at 15th in 2011-12, and currently sitting around 19th-30th depending on the cycle. Golfweek and Golf Magazine both rank it among Florida's best. The course is also a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Resort access only โ and at peak Emerald Coast pricing it sits in the upper-$$ to $$$ band.
