About Gold Mountain Golf Club - Olympic Course

The Olympic Course at Gold Mountain Golf Club is the Pacific Northwest's top-ranked public course outside of the Chambers Bay / Bandon Dunes / Gamble Sands tier, a 1996 John Harbottle III design that has held a Washington Top-10 state-ranking spot almost every year since opening. At 7,143 yards par 72 from the tips, the Olympic plays through dense Pacific Northwest forest on the Kitsap Peninsula outside Bremerton, with Harbottle's signature wide corridors through tall timber and bold green complexes giving the course a genuinely championship feel. Harbottle, who studied under Pete Dye and went on to design across the Pacific Northwest before his untimely death in 2012, built Olympic as one of his signature municipal projects. The Olympic's rankings are consistent: Top 5 Washington in 1999; Top 10 2001, 2005-09; currently 11th in Washington for 2025-26. It's also regularly named America's Best Municipal course in public rankings. Pair with The Home Course in DuPont and you have a strong two-round trip anchored by Chambers Bay, or use Olympic as the warm-up round before the Chambers day.
