About Salish Cliffs Golf Club

Salish Cliffs Golf Club is the Pacific Northwest's most decorated modern course, a 2011 Gene Bates design anchoring the Squaxin Island Tribe's Little Creek Casino Resort near Shelton, about 70 minutes southwest of Sea-Tac. It opened with back-to-back #1 New Golf Course of the Year honors from both Golfweek and GOLF Magazine in 2011 and entered 2012 as Golfweek's #4 Best Public Course in Washington. Since then, Golf Digest has ranked Salish Cliffs inside Washington's state top 10 from 2013 through 2020 and top 15 from 2021 through 2026, a remarkably sustained run. The course's additional distinction: world's first 'salmon-safe' certified golf course. The Squaxin Island Tribe designed the water management and turf program to protect the urban water quality and preserve the endangered West Coast salmon runs that cross tribal territory. Architecturally, Bates worked dramatic Olympic Peninsula terrain into a routing that feels like premium Pacific Northwest resort golf without the tribal-casino-course-as-afterthought feel. Top 10 Fall Foliage courses in the US, Top 20 Casino Courses, Top 100 Public and Resort Courses, Salish Cliffs earns every ranking. A must-play pairing with Gold Mountain Olympic for a multi-round Pacific Northwest trip.
