About The Home Course

The Home Course in DuPont is the Pacific Northwest's dedicated USGA / Washington Golf / PNGA facility, purpose-built in 2007 by Mike Asmundson to host regional golf association events and serve as the physical home of 'Northwest Golf House.' At 7,437 yards par 72 with a stout 76.5 rating and 132 slope, it plays as seriously as its USGA lineage suggests, and the USGA has delivered on that promise: The Home Course co-hosted stroke-play for the 2010 U.S. Amateur, hosted the 2014 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links, and hosted the 2023 U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball. The signature hole is the par-4 7th, played with Mount Rainier as the literal backdrop, a good tee ball sets up an approach over a pond-fronted green with the mountain visible over the flag. Asmundson's routing works the natural glacial terrain of the Puget Sound basin, and the course has earned an enthusiastic reception from championship field members for its conditioning and strategic honesty. Typically paired with Chambers Bay for a DuPont-area USGA venue sampler, two major-championship-caliber muni tracks within 10 minutes of each other.
