Jekyll Island Golf Club - Indian Mound Course

Lee named the course Indian Mound after the large oyster-shell middens deposited by aboriginal coastal tribes hundreds of years ago, the middens remain visible throughout the property. The course meanders through live oak and longleaf pine forests, with Lee's signature fairway bunkers in precarious locations throughout. The signature 11th is a downhill par-5 that finishes at the edge of salt marshland. Part of the Jekyll Island Golf Club's 63-hole state-park facility along with Oleander, Pine Lakes, and the historic Great Dunes. Peak green fee runs $55-85. Fits a Sea Island area trip as the state-park-system value card, a short drive south from St. Simons and King & Prince.
