Harry Colt and Charles Alison opened the original nine at Sea Island Seaside in 1929, Golden Age architecture as serious as it gets. Tom Fazio combined that nine with a less-distinguished 1970s nine in 1999, building a unified championship 18 that has hosted the PGA Tour's RSM Classic every year since 2010, with Davis Love III as host. Golf Digest currently has Seaside on its Top 100 Courses in the United States list. The course plays into and around marshland on St. Simons Island, with a links-style aesthetic, open, exposed to wind, and visually different from the rest of the Sea Island portfolio. As the on-property RSM Classic venue, it's the marquee book of any Sea Island stay. Premium-resort pricing applies; luxury-tier ($$$$) for resort guests during peak season.
