Pinehills Golf Club - Nicklaus Course

The Pinehills Nicklaus Course is Jack Nicklaus Jr.'s 2002 Nicklaus Design creation in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the companion course to the Rees Jones layout at the same 36-hole facility. At 7,243 yards par 72 with a 74.3 rating and 135 slope, the Nicklaus Course is the longer of the two Pinehills options and is routed entirely through tall pine forest stands on rolling Cape Cod-adjacent terrain. Many reviewers describe the course as 'conjuring visions of Pinehurst', the mature pines, sandy soil, and wide fairways flanked by loamy pine-needle waste areas all echo North Carolina sandhills golf. Nicklaus Jr. built challenging green complexes as the primary defense, with gently rolling fairways that reward position play. The short par-4 14th is often cited as a standout hole, and the par-3 set is unusually strong for a public course.
