The Ocean Course at The Club at New Seabury is Cape Cod's most dramatic oceanside routing, a William Mitchell 1962 design whose outward nine loops down to Nantucket Sound in genuinely cinematic fashion. The 7,131-yard par-72 layout plays to a demanding 75.7 rating and 136 slope, with nine holes that trace the seashore. The par-5 opening hole looks out over Nantucket Sound, which sits only a pitching wedge behind the first green. The par-4 2nd and par-4 3rd continue along the coast, that's three straight seaside holes to start the round, with the open Atlantic wind as a constant companion. Located on the Upper Cape in Mashpee, about 90 minutes outside Boston, the Ocean Course has earned top-50-in-America consideration from regional golf publications and is the signature round at New Seabury's resort/private club complex. Bruce Hepner led a full renovation in fall 2019 into 2020, refreshing the routing and greens while preserving Mitchell's seaside character. For a Cape Cod + Newport golf trip visitor, the Ocean Course is the marquee round, not quite Pebble but the closest Northeast equivalent.
