Omni Barton Creek - Coore Crenshaw Cliffside

Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw designed Crenshaw Cliffside at Omni Barton Creek in 1989 — one of their earliest collaborations and still one of their most understated. The course underwent extensive renovation in 2019 as part of Barton Creek's major expansion, with improvements to turf, bunker reconstruction, and conditioning while preserving the original design principles. Cliffside plays through Texas Hill Country terrain with cliff-edge routing that gives the course its name. While the Fazio Canyons and Fazio Foothills tend to rank higher in state polls, Cliffside is a consistent inclusion on Texas Outside's Best Resort Golf Courses in Texas. The Omni Barton Creek Resort itself was named Top 5 Resorts in the Southwest by Condé Nast Traveler and Top 5 Resorts in Texas by Travel + Leisure's 2022 World's Best Awards.
