About

Dick Wilson designed La Costa's South Course in 1965, and it hosted the PGA Tour's Tournament of Champions for three decades. The Omni resort now runs both courses as upscale daily-fee layouts. The South is the more celebrated of the two — rolling Carlsbad terrain through mature landscaping with more character than typical San Diego resort golf. Tournament history gives it a pedigree most resort courses can't match.
