The Tribute at Otsego Resort, opened in 2001 and designed by the team of Rick Robbins, Gary Koch, and Brian Lussier, is widely considered the marquee of Gaylord's northern Michigan golf corridor. The par-72 layout stretches from 5,085 yards at the forward tees to 7,347 at the tips, routed through mature hardwoods with dramatic elevation changes and strategic bunkering along nearly every hole. Nearly every tee is elevated, delivering long-range views across the Michigan highlands, holes 3, 6, 11, 14, 16, and 18 are the signature vistas, with the 430-yard par-4 3rd offering visibility over 30 miles on a clear day. The course features little water by Michigan standards but compensates with aggressive fairway movement and greenside contouring. Conditions at Otsego consistently earn high marks, and The Tribute remains a staple of the Gaylord resort circuit.
