The Silver Course at Soldier Hollow Golf is the more accessible of the two 18-hole layouts at Wasatch Mountain State Park, Gene Bates Golf Design's parkland-meadowland companion to the tougher Gold Course next door. Both courses are the only 36 holes in the world built on the grounds of a former Olympic venue (Soldier Hollow hosted cross-country skiing and biathlon competition during the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics). The Silver plays with wider fairways, large expanses of native grassland separating holes, and an unusual par-72 configuration: each nine features three par-3s, three par-4s, and three par-5s instead of the conventional two-and-two balance. That gives the round a more varied rhythm and keeps the pacing interesting. The course opens with two downhill holes from elevated tees, then builds into three par-3s in the first seven holes (Nos. 3, 5, and 7). For the Park City trip visitor, Soldier Hollow is the 45-minute-south drive to one of Utah's most distinctive golf settings, same mountain scenery as the Wasatch-area courses, but with a cleaner Olympic-legacy backstory than anywhere else.
Soldier Hollow - Silver Course's peak-season green fee is around $65 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Park City trip cost
