About

Mike Strantz built Stonehouse in 1996 through the wooded ravines of Toano, Virginia — one of his earliest designs before Tobacco Road made him famous. The routing uses natural rock formations and dramatic elevation changes that feel transported from the mountains to the Tidewater region. Strantz's creativity is visible everywhere: blind shots, creative contours, and holes that demand imagination. An architectural gem hiding in the Williamsburg suburbs.
