Tom Fazio built The Grand at Fairmont Grand Del Mar in 2001 as a luxury resort course in the Los Penasquitos Canyon — one of the last pristine canyons in San Diego County. The layout is immaculate and the conditioning is Augusta-level. It's the most expensive public round in San Diego but the setting and attention to detail justify the premium for a special-occasion round.
