Pete Dye designed the AT&T Canyons Course at TPC San Antonio in consultation with Bruce Lietzke, opening in 2010 alongside the Greg Norman-designed Oaks Course at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort. The 7,106-yard par-72 Dye routing has the architect's typical aggressive bunkering and shaping, a noticeably different design philosophy from the more parkland-flowing Oaks. The Canyons hosted the Champions Tour's AT&T Championship from 2011 through 2015. Both Canyons and Oaks were ranked among the top 15 'Best Courses You Can Play' in Texas by Golfweek in 2012. As the second round of a TPC San Antonio stay, Canyons is the design-contrast pick, Pete Dye's hand on one course, Norman's on the other, on the same resort property. Premium-resort pricing in the $$$ band, in line with the Oaks Course.
