The course is built with spectator sightlines in mind, berms, amphitheater greens, and the most famous stadium hole in the game, the par-3 16th, where galleries pack in to watch shots land. It's been the home of the Waste Management Phoenix Open (now WM Phoenix Open) since opening, a PGA Tour stop renowned for record-breaking attendance. The WM Phoenix Open won the 2025 PGA Tour Event of the Year award and has earned the Tour's Best Title Sponsor Integration Award for its 100% landfill diversion. Golf Digest ranks Stadium #36 in Arizona (2025-26). Condé Nast Traveler named TPC Scottsdale one of the Top 50 Golf Resort Destinations in the World. The course is the most recognizable public-access stadium venue in American golf.
