About

Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish followed up the success of Troon North's Monument Course with the Pinnacle Course in 1995, giving the resort two highly-ranked desert layouts a few hundred yards apart. Pinnacle plays slightly longer and more dramatic than its older sibling, with bigger elevation changes and aggressive lines over desert waste areas. Golf Magazine placed Pinnacle at #25 on its Top 100 Courses You Can Play (US) ranking — the top-ranked course in Arizona at the time. The broader Troon North facility has been named #1 in Arizona by the Arizona Republic and Golfweek, and ranks in the US Top 10 for public access. Golf Advisor's Top Courses in Arizona has placed Pinnacle as high as #2 (2023), most recently ranking it #13 (2024).
